What is this?

This calculator is a tool to figure out how much you can realistically afford with your ideal lifestyle. We've tried to keep it relatively simple so you can easily go and change values.

We'll automatically adjust for stamp duty and closing costs as well as an interest rate buffer of 3% which lines up with APHRA's lending regulations towards lending. This will also ensure that the price we show is reflective of something you can realistically afford.

While this calculator gives an idea of what house price would be ideal to look at. It does not take into account things such as:

  • Stamp duty exemptions

  • LMI

This is also not a borrowing capacity calculator or official recommendation/financial advice. Please make sure you talk to a professional for proper financial and mortgage strategy advice.
